Heartfelt Experiences from Our Clients

"I am eternally grateful that we were recommended to see Steph for lactation support! As a first time mom, I really wanted to breastfeed my son. Everyone said it would be hard and take some time & practice, but I was not prepared for how difficult it truly would be. We went to a couple of different lactation consultants and were seen by providers where I shared the difficulties we were having with feeding - all who just said to give it more time, pump more, and give him bottles in the meantime. Every feed was a struggle, my son would cry, and I felt defeated.

Then we met with Steph. She did an oral assessment on my son and informed us that he had a number of ties in his mouth that undoubtedly were affecting his breast feeding abilities. She also helped us create a schedule for pumping and feeding to ensure both my husband and I were getting adequate rest & sleep that protected my supply and our mental health.

Steph gave us information for trusted dentists. After we had our son’s ties released, it was a night and day difference. He was able to breastfeed with ease and comfort. He was able to transfer milk and be satisfied. I was able to regain my confidence and truly begin to thrive with my goal of breastfeeding.

As my husband and I have said, there was a before Steph and an after Steph and the difference is remarkable. Again, as a first time mom, her support, education, and understanding truly saved my breastfeeding journey. I cannot recommend Green Stork enough!"

“Steph is amazing! As a first time Mom far from family, I cannot imagine having done this without her by my side. Hiring her was the best decision we made about the birth. When we encountered feeding problems early on, she transitioned seamlessly to our lactation consultant. She’s the complete package and so dedicated to this work.”

“I consulted Steph during the first two weeks postpartum for nursing support. This was my second baby, and I had a lot of trouble with clogged ducts with my first and was determined to find GOOD help this time should I need it. In the second week postpartum I was in a lot of pain and could barely handle my baby latching. I called Steph and she came right over to my house, spent hours with me and baby as we worked on baby’s latch and my engorgement. She was so kind and patient and truly an expert on dealing with such an important matter as feeding your new baby. She honestly saved me that day. I don’t know if I would be nursing today (now 5 weeks postpartum) and pain free. She has also advised me over the phone multiple times about when to worry and what is normal-which every new mom needs! She has the advice I so desperately needed with my first baby and the expertise to fix difficult and serious breastfeeding problems. Love you Steph!”

"I am so thankful for Stephanie and all the help she gave me with breastfeeding. I was struggling with latching and felt frustrated, but she made me feel so comfortable and supported. She was patient, encouraging, and gave me the confidence I needed to keep going. After just a few appointments, I had improved so much that I no longer needed to see her. I truly couldn’t have gotten to where I am without her and would highly recommend her to any new mom needing breastfeeding support!"
